What "in the world" is Tiny People Matter?
Tiny People Matter is a global medical relief team that provides care for children and infants in developing countries around the world. Tiny People Matter strives to educate, empower and encourage others around the world to become advocates for tiny people and to reach out medically to those tiny people who cannot care for themselves. Tiny People Matter’s mission is to provide medical/nursing care to infants and pediatrics, to provide education to mothers to better care for themselves and their children and to train and equip other health care professionals within these developing countries so that they may deliver a higher standard of care to their patients. |
What does TPM do?
Educate health care providers
Currently, Tiny People Matter teaches the "Helping Babies Breathe" and "The Golden Minute" model of care in clinics and hospial world wide. We also teach thermoregulation of the newborn..."kangaroo care, " stabilization of the preterm or low birthweight infant as well as infection control and proper hand washing Mobile Clinics Health check-ups and delivering basic first aide care to children in orphanages and village schools Basic First Aide Education Training staff at local schools and mission bases to readily be able to handle all non-emergency medical care. Prenatal Health and Nutrition Education Nutrition, Heath and Hygiene Education Training geared for children living in orphanges as well as those in school. |
