Today, we had the absolute honor of visiting Liberty Baptist Church, and from the moment we stepped onto the property, we were met with open arms and cheerful hearts. We instantly felt welcomed, appreciated, and united in spirit with our brothers and sisters in Christ. The worship was truly a glimpse into heaven — voices lifted in praise, hearts aligned in joy. Christine and Melissa offered their incredible gift of singing, and the room was filled with a sweet spirit of rejoicing. It was impossible not to feel the presence of God as we lifted His name together. The message shared was inspiring and deeply rooted in truth — a call to continually look to the One true God with bold faith and surrendered hearts. While we were worshiping, a group of dedicated women were behind the scenes preparing a special blessing for us — an authentic African meal, made with love and care. There’s something so beautiful about being served by hands that serve with joy and purpose. Later, Melissa gathered with the women of the church and shared a message about bold prayer. She spoke about the courageous women of the Bible — women chosen and called by God for kingdom purpose. It was a moment of enlightenment, offering a fresh perspective on how God uses each of us uniquely and powerfully when we surrender to His call. Meanwhile, Linda, alongside Jen, Heather, Christine, and Olivia, set up a health station, offering blood pressure screenings. Ann and Hannah led an eye clinic, sharing both knowledge and care with so much compassion. Amanda served wholeheartedly wherever there was a need — truly embodying the heart of a servant. Then came the meal — and what a meal it was! We were treated to what many of us agreed was the best meal we’ve had. Delicious chicken, savory African greens, and nshima with rich chicken gravy. We even embraced the full experience and ate with our hands — and yes, it was as joyful and fun as it sounds! 😊 As the day came to a close, we said our goodbyes to our new friends, feeling both honored and humbled by the love and hospitality we received. Back at Lifesong Guest House, we shared dinner and spent time reflecting on the day — each of us filled with joy and a deeper understanding of what it means to serve, to be served, and to walk in fellowship with others who love God.
Our hearts are full. We rejoice in the connections made today, in the lessons learned, and in the unshakable truth that God is moving — through every song, every prayer, every plate of food, every act of service. To God be the glory!
