on to livingstone, i presume....

Today was a travel day as we made our way to Livingstone, bringing the mission part of our journey to a close. While there was a hint of sadness in saying goodbye to that chapter, we also felt a deep sense of job well done. Now, we’re looking forward to some much-needed time to relax—a safari adventure, a sunset cruise, and a chance to soak in the beauty of God’s creation before the long journey home.

As we settled into our rooms near Victoria Falls, we were greeted by the incredible sight of zebras, monkeys, and even giraffes wandering freely across the grounds—reminders of the wild and wonderful world we’re in.

There’s a rhythm to travel days: hurry up and wait, then move again. But with each leg, we’re getting closer to home, hearts full and grateful for every moment under the African sun.

From the moment we began the game drive, we were in awe. We spotted impalas, kudus, and several lions—some uncomfortably close! We watched hippos basking in the mud, water buffalo grazing, and an incredible variety of beautiful birds. Elephants and giraffes were everywhere, moving with such calm majesty. We also saw guinea fowl scurrying about and playful monkeys in the trees. It was truly humbling to see all these animals thriving in their natural habitat.

Lunch was a treat at a lovely resort—fabulous food in a breathtaking setting. After a quick freshen-up back at the hotel, we set off for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. And what a sunset it was—a masterpiece in the sky, as if God Himself painted it just for us.

What an unforgettable day. We’re filled with awe, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for the wild beauty of Africa. 🌍💛
