Trusting god and sharing hearts

Today began with a powerful lesson in faith and trust. It was a beautiful reminder that God is truly in control and His timing is perfect! Our teaching supply suitcases, which had been sent ahead, failed to arrive when we had hoped. But God showed up—right on time. The suitcases arrived just as our class was about to begin! This moment not only built our trust in Him, but also deepened our sense of teamwork and togetherness. We were overwhelmed with gratitude, reminded once again that God is our provider.

Throughout the day, our team shared both knowledge and experience, while also gaining valuable insight from the midwives, third-year nursing students, and doctors we worked alongside. It was a full and enlightening day—sometimes heavy with the sheer amount of information we needed to cover—but full of purpose and passion.

There was also plenty of fun along the way! Jen and Heather had quite the “Hubbly Bubbly” group, keeping things lively and engaging.
Later, we visited a very resource-limited clinic—an experience that moved many of us to tears. The staff there are doing an extraordinary amount with so little. Their dedication and resilience left a deep impact on our hearts and reminded us of the true meaning of service.

Though we were tired by the end of the day, our hearts were full as we visited some of the most precious little ones—the tiny lives that are the very heart of why Tiny People Matter was started. The team was able to bless the children with a suitcase packed full of toys, clothes, and hygiene items, and we were also able to purchase much-needed supplies. Thanks to the generous donations from friends in the U.S., we provided infant formula, diapers, and essential supplies to help keep the orphanage running.

It was an amazing and humbling end to the day—full of joy, purpose, and gratitude
