Day 5... I always remind my team members that they must remain flexible, adaptable and have a sense of humor because plans will inevitably change. Today they did!! We started our day teaching a class of 27 HBB students and all but 4 didn't speak any English :) needless to say we became very good at charades! Many helpers from the clinic stepped up to offer translation and all went well! We also spent time at ChildLife orphanage and enjoyed our time with the children as they sang to us and played games. We provided an eye clinic for the ladies that work there and did some BP screening. All of the children were very healthy. We provided them with some items for their pantry and some much needed medications for their first aid kit. A long but rewarding day! More tomorrow!! Thanks for all your prayers and support! Blessings from Melissa and Team Africa! We taught a class along with some of the ladies we taught last year. We taught 73 women in HBB training. It was an amazing day! We then traveled to the farm at Chilabula and presented them with some much needed medications. Many of the Children suffer from malnourishment and worms. The medicines will go a long way to help them!
