Today was the funeral for the Zambian president and there was a mandatory stoppage of most travel and work. We were unable to teach so had a day of relaxing and recharging. There was much laughter with playing games .... one invented by Marc which involved guessing medical symptoms taped to our foreheads. We visited the local market as team members purchased colorful textiles, snacks produced in Zambia, fruits/veggies, and fried caterpillars (!) Some members chose to walk back in the hot sun... good exercise. Melissa and Linda made wonderful mango salsa and we briefly went star gazing at night. After our day of rest, we look forward to teaching HBB tomorrow. Betsy and TPM Africa |
